This is my go to portrait lens. the super wide aperture create silky smooth backgrounds. It also allows for shooting in very dark conditions. I find myself using this lens more and more for landscapes as well.

Memory Cards
I used to buy cheaper cards, but after a card failure resulting in a full lost shoot, I have invested in higher quality name brand cards. Right now I am using 64gb cards. I have about 5 of them, and they work great. I also have a CF card slot on my camera, so I use that as well for data redundancy.

Harness
I have been recently using this harness and it definitely helps when you are out on long hikes with the camera. Instead of leaving the camera to dangle on it’s strap from around your neck, this harness does it pretty good job keeping it secured to your body.
